Georgetown, Texas is located about 30 miles north of Austin. Georgetown is part of Williamson County, and the population at the 2000 census was about 30,000 people. Rarely can you find the conveniences of a city with a small-town feel! HistoryGeorgetown was founded in 1848. An agrarian community, the city's primary economic stability came from the growth of cotton. The Chisholm Trail is a famous cattle trail that led from Texas to Kansas and Missouri and crossed through the heart of Georgetown. The addition of a railroad and the establishment of Southwestern University in the 1870s solidified the town's permanence in Central Texas.

What to do, what to do? In Georgetown, PLENTY! Main street has charming shops and cafe's surrounding the historic Georgetown Courthouse. Old Downtown Georgetown is also just near the San Gabriel river which means you're not too far from beautiful parks and trails! For the kiddos, Inner Space Cavern is sure to peak their interest. (Just make sure your flashlight has extra batteries!)
In addition to Georgetown's rich history and tourist attractions, you can find all the conveniences you'd want in your hometown.
Wolf Ranch Town Center is conveniently located right at Hwy I-35 and SR 29. It includes Target, Linens 'n Things, and Kohls just to name a few popular stores. For a detailed list of Wolf Ranch stores, click here.
Nearby is also a Home Depot and City Lights Movie Theater - a perfect weekend's agenda!
Haven't had your shopping fill? You're about 15 minutes away from Round Rock Premium Outlets! Just hop on I-35 and head south . . . can't miss it!

Cosmetic Improvements >Cosmetic Changes
When a home goes on the market, it should look great. Often there are improvements that must be made before a house is ready to show well. When you are preparing to list your home, it is strongly recommended that you go through each room with a critical eye.
What are you looking for? Start with the ceiling, and look for any cracks or water stains, then inspect the condition of the paint and wallpaper. Make sure that the windows are clean and window treatments are attractive. All of the closets and storage spaces should be neat and organized (a cluttered closet looks smaller!). If the rooms seem crowded with too much furniture, you can create a more spacious look by storing your "overflow".
A well-maintained house tends to sell much more quickly than one where buyers must use a lot of imagination to see it in a positive light. The condition of your house will help to determine the selling price. The better the house looks, the better your chances of selling it at the best price. A real estate agent can help you by recommending the repairs and cleaning that will increase your home's marketability.
