The Premiere Real Estate Team in Central Texas

Born and raised in Dallas, Renée is a tried-and-true Texan. After earning a degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Renée embarked on a career as a flight attendant so she could see the world. Ten years later, Renée retired from the airline industry to raise her two daughters. Once her children were grown, Renée entered a new chapter in her life by earning her real estate license. With a passion for helping families buy and sell homes, she moved to Central Texas and focused on building her real estate business in Georgetown, specializing in Sun City properties. A Sun City inhabitant herself, Renée loves the community spirit and peacefulness that Sun City offers.
Gene, a native of Houston, attended college in Denver earning degrees in marketing. While in college, Gene started work at Sears, Roebuck & Co, and ended up celebrating a successful 32 years with the company. His career path then led him into broadcasting, where he worked in Chicago as a voiceover talent for several years. Seeking adventure, Gene then took a job in Saudi Arabia as a General Manager of a mid-eastern conglomerate, which included many American companies' goods and services. After experiencing multi-faceted careers, Gene finally settled in Sun City in 1998 where he focused his interests on Kiwanis and golf. Gene, the former Governor of Kiwanis International for Texas and Oklahoma, now helps plan events and fundraisers for Kiwanis to help make the world a better place for our youth.
Gene and Renée met each other at Sun City's Holiday Home Tour in 2002 and found that their passion for the Sun City community made them a perfect match. That following year they married and not only became partners in life, but also business partners. Together, their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm have helped make Team Jantzen the Top Real Estate Agents in the Sun City, Georgetown, Round Rock & Austin Metro areas.

Making An Offer >Evaluating the First Offer
Your dining room table is the scene of high drama. Your home has been listed for sale for six weeks, and finally, the first offer has come in. You are meeting with the agents, and are very excited until they mention the price--it is a lot less than you expected.
Before you feel offended, however, remember that the first offer is often just the beginning of a negotiating process. Your agent can help you weigh the good and bad points, evaluating the price in relationship to the terms or conditions of the sale. Sometimes an offer with a low price can look quite attractive once you understand all of the terms. If you are willing to make some compromises, the buyers may accept a counter offer that will give you more money. A lower price from highly qualified buyers may be better than one from people who may have difficulties with financing. Keep in mind that your first negotiated price is often your best price!
